The AFCEA Atlanta Chapter presents the next National Security Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, AFCEA provides the central meeting place for government, academia, and industry working in all disciplines in industry, service, government, military and academic sectors.

Today's infrastructure is connected to, and dependent on, many substructure assets, systems, and networks for normal day-to-day operations. These connections may be geographically limited or dispersed over great distances. The many points of infrastructure connections and their geographic distribution can make the infrastructure environment much more complex and vulnerable.

The conference supports U.S. Government agencies, U.S. Department of War, and their State & Local counterparts from the greater Atlanta region that work to strengthen critical infrastructure security and resilience by generating greater understanding and action across a partnership landscape.

This conference will look at developments on the theme of the previous events in helping to create a better understanding of the issues and the threats, to help facilitate the work to develop frameworks, good risk management, strategic planning and implementation in the National Security arena.

In addition to the conference, attendees are also invited to participate in a coordinated cybersecurity preparedness exercise to assess how events impacting critical infrastructure are handled. This was inspired by the JACK VOLTAIC® exercises led by the Army Cyber Institute. The scenario is being designed to help identify and address gaps and interdependencies, bringing together numerous entities responsible for critical infrastructure at all levels. This exercise is developed around areas of interest suggested by the participants and is focused on gaining key insights into how multiple levels of industry and government respond to events impacting critical infrastructure and what effect that might have. The tabletop exercise will include a series of “turns” enabling participants to practice a response within the exercise scenario.
